WIDEPAN 617 CAMERA: IN A LEAGUE OF ITS OWN

The Greatest of All Time

Here, my friends, is a camera that cannot be understated. This truly massive beast measures 277mm (11”) long and packs more panoramic power than you can believe. One touch of the shutter button fires a 110-degree panoramic frame that fills ¼ of an entire 120 film roll with full-on, color-bursting magic. That’s right, each shot is so huge that you can only take FOUR on each 120 film roll. Its gorgeous Schneider Super Angulon lens ensures that every picture is absolutely stunning – with unbelievable detail, vibrant & nuanced color, and deep resolution. Your negatives are so big that you can cover an entire wall with one enlargement and barely see the film grain. We’re talking a perfect print enlargment of 2.7m (82”) wide! Each piece is hand-crafted by professional technicians at the Phenix Optical factory (home of the Yasuhara!) If you long to experience the absolute height of panoramic paradise, then this beast is for you.

WIDEPAN PRO II CAMERA: LARGE AND IN CHARGE

Take it to the next level

So you’ve mastered the Horizon Perfekt and you savor its tasty images on nearly a daily basis. You adore its snappy 35mm prints – but deep down you long for something much larger. Perhaps you’re looking to create perfect, enormous photo prints – and you appreciate the unbelievable color depth and fine resolution that only medium format film can bring. If this is the case, my friend, then the Widepan Pro II is your baby. Like its big brother above, it uses gorgeous medium-format film. And like the Horizon – it employs a movable swing lens, so all of those crazy blurred movement and curved-horizon distortions that you know and love are within your grasp. And that’s not all…

Variable Format: 120 / 220 / 35mm

Given the Widepan Pro II’s huge gaping mouth, it loves to eat up 120 film and shoot 6 frames per roll. If you need more shots, then toss in a roll of 220 for 12 frames per roll. But here’s the real excitement – it includes a little adapter that allows you to use regular 35mm film as well! Merely plug this guy in, and you’re ready to shoot a slim, long negative measuring a huge 110mm x 24mm. Compare that to the usual frame size of 35mm x 24mm, and you’re talking about an image that’s almost 3 times as long as usual. Each piece is hand-crafted by professional technicians at the Phenix Optical factory (home of the Yasuhara!) Huzzah!
