Just a quick refresher…
Back in the 1960’s, a small firm in Hong Kong created a dirt-cheap 120 camera called the “Diana.” Crafted entirely of plastic, each camera cost about a dollar. As a mainstream product, the Diana was pretty much a failure – and was discontinued in the 1970’s. But as a cult artistic tool of avant-garde and lo-fi photographers – it was a rousing success! They loved its soft & dreamy images – the kind of shots that pierce the subject’s soul and present a deep and other-worldly story through super-saturated colors, unpredictable blurring, and random contrast.
As many of you know, this past Fall saw the release of our Diana+ camera – a loving reproduction of this groundbreaking piece of fantastic plastic camera design. We took all the best bits of the original and added a smattering of all-new functionality and features.
Friends and Lomographers, we are thrilled to announce the next sensation in Diana+ development – the Diana F+ flash camera! Based on the original Diana flash camera, this beauty features a retro-styled electronic flash which will take your Diana+ photography into the darkest of night shots, the most vivid of colorflash snaps, and the most surreal of daytime fill-flash pics. Pop in a battery, slip off the lens cap, and prepare to head out with an awesome new toolbox of Diana+ possibilities!

Just like the Colorsplash camera and Colorsplash Flash, the Diana F+ includes a small packet of plastic color gel filters. Slip one into your flash and throw a burst of colored light at your subject – day or night!
By setting your Diana F+ to the long exposure “B” setting, you can let all of that streaming ambient light into your image – thereby superimposing a flashed or colorflashed subject against a glowing, riotous, and absolutely beautiful background.
Works with Standard Hotshoe Cameras Too!
The Diana Flash works via a two-pronged plug adapter – just like the original! It plugs directly into the Diana F+ camera body. However, two adapters are included so that both the Diana Flash and Diana F+ are hotshoe-compatible:
1. A Diana Plug to Hotshoe Adapter (included)
This allows you to use the Diana Flash on any standard hotshoe camera, like the Fisheye 2 or Lomo LC-A+
2. A Hotshoe to Diana Plug Adapter (included)
This allows you to use any standard hotshoe flash (like the Colorsplash Flash) on the Diana F+ camera.
PLEASE NOTE: THE DIANA FLASH WILL NOT SYNC DIRECTLY WITH THE DIANA+ CAMERA
The Diana’s original all-plastic lens has been duplicated with utmost love and care to ensure the same dreamy, gorgeous, color-drenched, sometimes-blurry, and often-mindblowing results that Diana users have always treasured.
Choose between “N” or “B” for daytime snapshots or unlimited nighttime long exposures.
Like the Holga, you advance the Diana as much or as little as you like after each shot – making multiple exposures, half-exposed frames, and stretched out crazy-long shots a snap.
For your pleasure, you can choose between the 12 full-frame shots (5.2x5.2cm), or 16 smaller square images – in the classic Diana format (4.2x4.2cm)!
Remove the lens, set the aperture to a super-small pinhole and shoot a super-wide-angle, severely old-school image through a tiny hole.
A brand new setting that allows you to shoot a long, concurrent, and unlimited panoramic image, with almost no space between each individual frame.
