Come into the Lomography Gallery Store NY all summer long to join one of our exciting and informative workshops! Our Summer Workshops are the perfect way for those new to Lomography to try their hands at some of our easy to use and versatile cameras, while seasoned Lomographers can learn even more tips and tricks to add to their repertoires and expand their creativity! Check out the packed schedule below: *Sunday July 11th @ 1pm – Diana Dialogues: Learn how the Diana camera has become a classic artistic tool for several generations of photographers and pick up tips, tricks, and dazzling techniques. During the second half of the workshop, borrow a loaner camera and join us for a LomoJourney around Greenwich Village. *Saturday July 17th @ 1pm – Plastic Fantastic + Lomography Mini Movies: In this workshop we’ll discuss each of Lomography’s plastic cameras and learn fun techniques and tricks that will open up a world of shooting possibilities. Then we’ll learn how to turn our multi-lens photos into mini movies! Wednesday July 21st @ 6pm – Show + Tell #1: The first in our upcoming series of Show + Tell workshops! Bring in your favorite shots and discuss with fellow Lomographers tips, tricks, and tools of the trade. This workshop is FREE! Sunday July 25th @ 1pm – Walking Tour: “Dianimals”: Using the Diana F+ camera, we’ll scour the neighborhood for our furry friends and invite them for a portrait. Learn the basics of how to use the Diana F+ camera and how to compose the best animal portraits. This workshop is FREE! Tuesday July 27th @ 6pm – DIY Workshop – Plastic Camera Modifications: In this workshop we’ll learn how to modify our plastic multi-lens camera to create a wide range of unique and exciting shooting options! This workshop is FREE! *Sunday August 1st @ 1pm – Adventures in Pinhole Lomography: Join us for an introduction to shooting with pinhole, as we discuss the basics and history of lensless photography. We will also explore the many pinhole camera options available at the Lomography Gallery Store. *Thursday August 12th @ 6pm – Meet the Lomo LC-A+: The LC-A+ is a loving recreation of the original Soviet jewel, and the core camera of the Lomography movement. Learn tips, tricks, techniques, and dive in to the world of the one, the only, and the mighty Lomo Compact Automat! *Sunday August 15th @1pm – Lubitel Lovers: Join us for an intimate and comprehensive introduction to the Lubitel 166+ and its history, along with tips, tricks, and techniques that will turn you into a Lubitel Lover for life. Sunday August 22nd @ 1pm – Walking Tour: “Looking Up”: See what you’re missing by looking up! Planes, trees, clouds, buildings, birds… set your sights sky-high as you use your favorite Lomography camera to capture what’s above. This workshop is FREE! Sunday August 25th @ 6pm – Show + Tell #2: Our monthly series of Show + Tell workshops continues! Bring in your favorite shots and discuss with fellow Lomographers tips, tricks, and tools of the trade. This workshop is FREE! *Saturday August 28th @ 1pm – Get to Know the Diana Mini: For the first time, Lomographers have a camera that can shoot square images as well as half-frame. In this workshop we’ll learn all about this exciting recent addition to the Lomography camera collection and its spectacular new features! Tuesday August 31st @ 6pm – DIY Workshop – Diana Masks: In this workshop we’ll learn how to make our own Diana masks to add layers of creativity to your Diana F+ images! This workshop is FREE! *Cost $10 ($7 for students). All workshops include a loaner camera and a free roll of film. All participants will receive a 10% off coupon for the Lomography Gallery Store.
